Completing the Collection...

Finally got hold of Hasbro Marvel Legends ICONS Silver Surfer from yahoo auctions. Cost me $48. Quite reasonable considering that collectible toy shops out there are selling at $60-70 a piece. Nice to have completed my Fantastic 4 ICONS collection. Now I'll just have to wait for Hasbro's ICONS Phoenix and Colossus series...

Fanning the Flames...

Was at Suntec Carrefour over the weekends and saw these two Marvel Legends ICONS Human Torch-es. Excuses that I thought of for not buying them:
  1. Waste of money

  2. I don't really like Fantastic 4

  3. I collect mainly X Men figures

However, I also came up with several reasons for buying them at that moment:

  1. I may end up regretting not buying

  2. They are at retail price of $39.90!!!!

  3. I'm ending my 6" figures collection cos Hasbro Marvel Legends 6" series really sucks.

  4. They are quite cool and it's really rare to come across both Human Torch and its variant.

Couldn't resist myself and bought the Human Torch and the varient Phasing Human Torch. They literally burnt quite a big hole in my wallet with their flames. Think after my Toybiz Marvel Legends 6" X Men figures collection is complete, I shall concentrate on only my 12".

Now...shall I get Silver Surfer to complete my collection??? Muahahaha! Flame On!

And the Search Continues...

Finally got my hands on Marvel Legends Icons Hasbro Wolverine. Bought it at a hefty sum of $69.90 from Simply Toys at Suntec City. No choice. It's either here or Ebay.

Been wanting to get a masked Wolverine Icons Series. It's either the Hasbro or Toybiz version. Since I already have the unmasked from Toybiz and not wanting to appear like a spendthrift by getting duplicates, getting the Hasbro masked version will greatly justify my expenditure. Hehe!

Sorry guys. Still trying to perfect my photography skills. Hehe! Lousy camera...:P

The Beginning...

It all started with a simple little trip to a simple little toy shop at Shaw Towers at Beach Road. JL was browsing through some toys and that's when I spotted the loose pieces of Marvel Legends Sentinel Series Cyclops and Mr Sinister. Absolutely cool... I bought them both at $10 each and that's how I began this very expensive and sinful hobby of toy collection. *damn you, JL...* Hahahaha!

My First Toy Blog

Finally, my very first entry for my very first Toy Blog! Decided to heed JL's advice and start one on my own after the demise of J*&%$#!!T and F!#$%^&*!D's blog.

Anyway, an intro of myself. Not exactly an avid toy fan but started my own toy collection just about 2 yrs ago when I got my first 2 loose pieces of Marvel Legends Sentinel Series Mr Sinister and Cyclops at Shaw Towers at beach road. Thanks to JL who happened to be looking at some toys in that area. Bought them for $10 a piece and that sparked off my chase for Marvel Legends X Men action figures.

Always love the X Men. Although I don't read the comics, I caught the cartoon action series on TV when I was a teenager. My favourite character has to be Gambit, and boy was I pissed when he was evidently left out from all 3 of X Men movies.

Anyway, will be posting more entries and pictures of my collection soon. Watch out for this space!
